2022 design predictions have arrived, and if you’ve been a fan of the neutral, earthy textures of the past few years, something tells us you’re going to like what 2022 has in store.
Brimmed with textured designs that evoke a livable luxury, this year’s design trends are filled with rich yet comforting tones, modern decor mixed with vintage details, and curved furniture that’s practically begging you to take a seat.
Here are some of the top upcoming trends that our design team can’t wait to start styling:
LUXURY LOOKS GOOD ON YOU
Effortless luxury might sound like an impossible feat, but with the seamless combination of elegant textures (like leathers, boucle, and high-end fabrics) and high performance technology we’ll all be living it in no time.
What does this look like at Parker Gwen?
A sleek spin deck that easily plays your favorite records with a luxuriously crisp sound. Or, a Frame TV that dons a famous piece of art when it’s off and your favorite sports team when it’s on. Or, maybe it’s even a decadent living room spilling over in rich tones decked out with comfortable furniture pieces that make the easy transition from working, to living, and entertaining.
Livable luxury means you don’t have to choose, because you get it all.
Show Off Your Curves
You didn’t think curves’ moments were over now, did you?
In 2020 and 2021 we were reintroduced to the famed arched architecture. And, in 2022, things are getting personal. Curves are breaking beyond architecture and making their mark on your most prominent furniture and decor pieces.
Think some of our best-selling curved sofas. Or, if you’re not quite ready for that big of a commitment, try curves on with a simple, subtle accent chair.
Our advice? Keep them soft and inviting. After all, they’re all about comfort.
MAKE IT MOODY
We love neutrals as much as the next person, but we love them even more when they’re paired with rich hued colors that give them that little extra push they need.
If you loved the sage greens and deep bronze colors of 2021, you’re going to love the rich, moody hues we’re expecting to trend in 2022.
Our prediction? You’re going to see a lot of rust, copper, bronze, gold, and camel colors take center stage as we get into the new year.
BACK TO VINTAGE
Looking to incorporate vintage into your space? You’re in luck because vintage is back.
From antiquing in order to find one-of-a kind pieces, to simply seeking out vintage inspired designs like avant-garde mirrors, ornate candle holders, gilded or plaster statues and old-school inspired wooden accents, we’ll be looking for vintage inspired pieces in our upcoming designs.
