Epson 5050UB is the best value pixel shift 4K Projector that is currently available in market. If I have to start explaining about every awesome feature of this projector, the review would go for at least a couple of pages. So here are some very high level info

Edge to Edge Focus Uniformity
Out of the box colors are awesome (no need for calibration for most of the users)
Great HDR performance
Excellent backlit remote with HDMI link

Only real negative point with this projector is you can hear fan noise in high power lamp mode during quiet scenes. There is no fan noise in other modes and runs really quiet.

For people wondering if Epson 5050UB is worth over the Epson 3800 (which is a great projector at half cost), yes it is absolutely worth it. I had the opportunity to compare 5050UB and 3800 side by side. Epson 3800 has focus uniformity issues. You will have a hard time to get the entire screen to be focused. Epson 5050UB has Edge to Edge focus uniformity. You can clearly see this difference when watching quality 4K Blu Ray content like BBC Planet Earth. Secondly, the higher native contrast ratio of 5050UB pops the colors. If you can afford, go for 5050 UB over 3800 and you will not be disappointed

Great projector. I call it my 'light cannon' because it's great even with some ambient light (of course black levels are amazing with light controlled room). Love it for the auto 3D as well. Thanks parkergwen for the awesome price and fast shipping.

Epson did it again. This is my 2nd Epson, 1st 5030ub and now the 5050ub. Great price for the quality. It does take few tries and tweaks to get the ultimate quality but its there.
